Portal de la Esperanza

In Mexico, we are working toward the construction of Christian group homes for children and teens, especially those exiting the juvenile prison system. These homes, lovingly called "Portal de la Esperanza," (Gateway To Hope) will house, school and train young people in the Christian faith, life-skills and basic educational needs, all in a family setting. Men's Ministry in Mexico

Two men who are key leaders at CID (Sam Leap and Randy Helfrich) have been pioneering mens' ministry in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico for several years. They have recently branched out to the city of Caborca as well. Out of their faithful and consistent efforts have grown strong relationships which are now allowing us the opportunity to help further the Principle of 12 in Mexico.

Los Olivos

City In The Desert also built a church in a very poor community of Hermosillo (Los Olivos) in the 1990's, which has become quite successful in that area of the city. They have recently united with the well-known church network "Amistad Cristiana."

Freedom Ministries

We have also been pleased to come into relationship with the well-known missionary and apostle David Hogan and one of his key leaders Phillip Gammil. These men and the others who work with them are doing an astounding work in northern Mexico among indigenous Indians there. Through their organization, Freedom Ministries, the region and the world are being influenced for Christ especially through the astounding miracles which have been a mainstay in the forward thrust of that ministry into the region.
