The Principle of 12 ProcessFor a much more in-depth look at the outworking of the processes defining the Principle of 12, please visit Bethany.com's minisite dedicated to the Principle of 12. The Heart of the Vision is based on the examples of multiplication that Jesus demonstrated for his disciples to see people receive Jesus as their Lord and Savior, be healed and delivered, and become fruitful followers of Christ. The P.E.P. Process Pre Encounter - The purpose of the Pre Encounter is to verify the salvation of a new believer and explain the truths necessary to understand the truths of salvation and grace experienced when they are Born Again. This also builds the faith of the individual preparing them for the Encounter.
Encounter - This provides for deeper ministry for an individual than is possible in a cell group or on Sunday morning service. Its purpose is to see new believers come to true repentance, receive forgiveness for sins, experience the emotional and physical healing power of the Lord, and to be filled with the power of the Holy Spirit. Post Encounter - This is a series of meetings that helps a new believer retain the healing and enpowering that God has provided during the Encounter. This also provides the guidance for new believers to establish a rhythm of prayer and discipling on the basic issues of life as a new believer.
Cell Groups Each person in the Vision should attend a weekly cell group near them. The purpose of an open cell group is to win souls and begin to develop them in the Lord. These meetings are focused towards the development of a healthy and fruitful Christian walk with Christ. School of Leaders Cell leaders will identify the potential leaders within their open cell group and recommend they attend the School of Leaders. This process includes 3 series of classes that provide instruction and build the faith and discipline necessary for an individual to become a successful cell group leader. Open Cells These groups are a very crucial component for the Vision, and where the majority of the evangelism takes place. An Open Cell is open to attendance by any individual. It is born when a leader has been released to begin mentoring and discipling two new converts. The Open Cell grows as the members invite friends and continues to win new souls to Christ. Closed Cells Once there is a group of 12 leaders within an Open Cell, the leader can close it. The status of the group now changes and it becomes a cell of leaders. The leader now focuses on keeping his 12 leaders healthy and fruitful to perpetuate the multiplication of new believers.
